Do I need to be home to have my pet groomed?
For the very first appointment I do require someone to be home so we can meet the pet and let them become familiar with us. I also like to meet the pet parent so we can ask or answer any grooming questions. After the first visit it is not necessary for someone to be home. For future appointments you can leave a key, door code or garage code. I will make sure your pet is securely back in your home and will lock up when I leave.
When will you arrive to my home?
I try my very best to be on time for all our appointments. I ask that you keep in mind that Iam mobile and can run behind due to traffic, bad weather or a dog requiring more individualized care than expected. I will provide you with a window of our arrival time of 1 hour. For example, if you book a 10 am appointment I will do my best to get there at 10, however my window of arrival time will be between 10 and 11 am.
I live on a hill, can you still come to my home?
Unfortunately I am unable to provide service to homes that are located on a hill or incline. The van requires a level spot to park either in the driveway or in front of the home to insure proper weight distribution and an optimal grooming experience.
Will I be able to be in the van to watch my dog be groomed?
Unfortunately, due to liability reasons, I can not allow our clients to be in the van while their beloved dog gets pampered. I certainly understand your concern and curiosity, but rest assured they are receiving the best care possible in my van. I treat them like I would my own dogs, as part of the family. They are returned to you with smiles and tails wagging which will tell you all you need to know about their wonderful experience with There’s No Place Like Home.
Do you need to connect to my electric or use the water in order to groom?
That's the best part, you relax in the comfort of your own home while I pamper your pooch in a 100% self contained mobile grooming spa! I park on the street or in the convenience of your driveway and treat your beloved pet to the pampering of a lifetime. On rare occasions I may need to plug into your home to charge the van or fill up on water. This can happen on a day with a lot of clients or during the summer months. Running the air conditioner to keep both groomer and pups comfortable takes a lot more power and so a little extra boost may be needed from time to time.
How long will my dog's groom take?
No two dogs are the same and require their own specialized care to cater to their individual needs. An estimated length of groom time will be best determined after the groomer has had a chance to take into consideration the dogs temperament, coat condition and type of service needed. Grooming can take anywhere from 1-3 hours.
Do you groom large breeds?
At this time I am not taking appointments for large breed dogs as I cannot comfortably accommodate and handle large breeds in the grooming van.
